sometimes work can be quite depressing, when you've spent the last 5 months doing all the background work on a project to make something good happen for the place where you work....5 months of legal documents, research, feasibility studies, verification of information, developing a philosophy and system, and ensuring future viability
dotting all the i's and crossing every single t....working on complex spreadsheets and writing documentation that doesn't rip the heart out of staff morale...ready to press a button on monday to make something good and fair happen (basically ensuring a system to remove over-compensation to a few people and ensure fair pay for those not yet treated that way)
only to have the person at the top fail to find his balls at the last minute because a couple of 'favourite children' will finally be paid what they should and not 150% of what the job is worth
sometimes i get so very tired of the 'corporate' environment...today is one of those days....
but all i can do is....raise my tolerance level and write yet another board paper to explain WHY this is so important, in order to defer the decision
but hell, it's only work and at the end of the day i'm glad i have it
